He has extensive experience in civil, environmental, investment, corporate and international law cases, and is a trusted adviser to public bodies across Kuwaiti ministries and the private sector.

Biography

Dr. Issa Al-Anezi is the founding partner and general manager of Methqal Law & Legal Consultations Group. He holds a PhD in International Law from France and previously served as Head of the International Law Department at Kuwait University. He has extensive experience in civil, environmental, investment, corporate and international law cases, and is a trusted adviser to public bodies across Kuwaiti ministries and the private sector.

He has pleaded before a number of foreign courts, including in Bahrain and Qatar, and has chaired many governmental investigation committees as well as international and commercial arbitration tribunals. Under his leadership the group has concluded partnership agreements with respected law firms in ten jurisdictions, allowing Methqal to support its clients wherever their interests lie.
